As much as I do enjoy a good firing, the fact Gottfried will finish the season — I’ll let y’all speculate why — gives me no confidence our current leadership has any control of this program. We all know this program has the potential to make a great hire (evidenced by John Calipari confirming he had initially accepted the State job in 2006), but for whatever the reasons (start with AD incompetence and work down the list), that hasn’t happened.
