NC State’s Men’s Basketball team started the season in dramatic fashion last night, losing to Georgia Tech in Overtime 82-81 in PNC Arena. The Box Score is below.
Redshirt Junior Forward D.J. Funderburk was suspended indefinitely back on September for a violation of team policy. As a result, he was not allowed to practice with the team, or do anything basketball related with the program.
On September 25, Funderburk was involved in a parking incident on campus that is definitely a factor in his suspension, but there are more than likely other factors involved.
Head Men’s Basketball Coach Kevin Keatts shares with the media yesterday that Funderburk was back practicing with the team, but he wouldn’t reveal when he would return to gameplay.
