Former NC State 2025 prep center signee Paul Mbiya committed to Kansas yesterday.
Back on May 2nd, news broke that Mbiya had committed to NC State and signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Wolfpack. This was surprising, as he had been expected to land at Oregon after taking an official visit there.
After NC State failed to land Gambian forward/center Musa Sagnia—and with lingering questions about Mbiya’s immediate eligibility due to prior professional play—the Wolfpack opted to also sign UNC transfer forward Ven-Allen Lubin.
Despite Lubin’s decision to run with the Wolfpack, Mbiya still desired to play for Will Wade, even at a lower pay rate.
