Former NC State All-American Linebacker Payton Wilson had a career day in Pittsburgh’s 24-21 win over Minnesota this morning in Dublin, Ireland.
Wilson finished with a career-high 13 tackles, with 2 tackles for loss and 1 QB hit. Payton’s most impressive play of the game was running down Vikings’ Wide Receiver Jordan Addison to prevent a touchdown.
As a result, another 61 seconds ran off of the clock, helping inevitably secure a Steelers 24-21 victory.
According to Next Gen Stats, Wilson was clocked running 22.48 MPG, which is the fastest recorded speed by a Linebacker since they started recording stats in 2016.
