Dennis Smith Jr and Chris Paul dueled it out last night as the Rockets took on the Mavs in Houston.
The former NC State PG was on his game, pouring in 16 points (7-18) and dealing out 11 assists, but it wasn’t enough.
Paul, still one of the NBA’s top PGs, wasn’t ready to pass the torch quite yet. He nearly notched a triple-double on Smith, putting up a line of 25 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds.
The loss moves the rebuilding Mavs to 18-39 on the season, but Smith Jr has been a real bright spot for the team.
