Former NC State All-American Cornerback David Amerson has been signed by the Kanas City Chiefs. Almost two weeks ago, Amerson was released by the Raiders. The Silver-and-Black signed him to a 4-year $38 million contract prior to the 2016 season. Unfortunately, Amerson missed the final 9 games of 2017 with a foot injury.
The Chiefs are looking to add depth to their already strong secondary, and did that by signing Amerson to a 1-year contract worth up to $6 million. The base salary is $2.25 million.
This is now Amerson’s 3rd team entering his 6th season (He was drafted with the 51st overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
