Tonight at 8pm former NC State wingman C.J. Williams will try to help Team USA defeat Argentina in the 2017 FIBA Americup. Williams has averaged 15.5 points in the United State’s last two games against Uruguay and the Dominican Republic.
The United States and Argentina have played on the finals of the AmeriCup twice before.
The two times they’ve faced each other in a final match were absolute victories for the United States’ team. In 2003, the team coached by Mike Brown and led by Duncan, Carter, Kidd, Allen, O’Neal and McGrady were far superior to an opponent who was preparing for something big.
