Carlos Rodon came to the plate at Wrigley Field on Tuesday with no hits in five career at-bats (though he does have three sac bunts to his credit). He got that monkey off his back by smacking the first pitch he saw from John Lackey to the wall in right-center.

He also plated two runs, giving him his first career RBI. Now if only he could get the whole pitching thing sorted out; he’s got 11 strikeouts on the afternoon but has given up four, including a three-run homer in the first and needed more than 90 pitches to get through four innings.
