4-star defensive back Taiyon Palmer picks NC State over Tennessee and Nebraska

NC State got some excellent news on National Signing Day (or National Signing Day Jr., as it is now known): four-star cornerback Taiyon Palmer announced his decision to sign with the Wolfpack. Palmer picked NC State over Tennessee and Nebraska. (And a whole lot of other offers.)

Palmer, who had been a Duke verbal up until November, is listed at 6’0 and 178 pounds by 247Sports. He is the No. 31 prospect in the state of Georgia and the No. 280 overall prospect in the 2018 class, which makes him the fourth-highest ranked player in State’s 2018 class behind Payton Wilson, Ricky Person, and Alim McNeill.
