Hey, look everybody, the basketball team finally has a walk-on again! Word of God senior guard Max Farthing announced Friday that he’s headed to NC State, and he has an offer to join the basketball team as a preferred walk-on.
It’s not clear if Farthing passed on any scholarship offers from small schools. Big Shots ranks Farthing at No. 60 in North Carolina’s class of 2019. Nobody in that range of the rankings holds a power-conference offer, according to that site.
Farthing has some solid upside—he is already 6’6, and from what little I’ve found about him, it sounds like he’s a good jump shooter.
