Vancouver Canucks: What About Mogilny?

It is hard to fault a decision that is so difficult and has countless players that are worthy of the prestigious honour to join the hallowed ranks of the Hockey Hall of Fame, but with year after passing year, it feels like it’ll be a long while before we see this deserving name added.

Alexander Mogilny, drafted 89th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 1988, had to literally disappear in the middle of the night with the help of various Sabres officials from the 1989 World Junior Championships in order to defect from the Soviet Union and join the NHL.
