Tyler Toffoli scored at 1:39 of overtime and the Montreal Canadiens defeated the visiting Winnipeg Jets 3-2 on Monday night to complete a four-game sweep of their second-round North Division playoff series.
Toffoli scored his fourth goal of the playoffs after Cole Caufield made the pass to the front of the goal. Toffoli added an assist and has 10 points in the playoffs.
“I think that’s definitely one of the bigger ones,” Toffoli said about the significance of his goal. “It’s fun right now. We’re doing a good job, and it just kind of feels like we’re all kind of playing as one.
