The Role of AI in Next-Gen Neuroprosthetics

The field of neuroprosthetics has made significant strides in recent years, with the development of advanced prosthetic devices that can help individuals with disabilities regain some of their lost motor functions. However, these devices still have limitations, and researchers are now turning to artificial intelligence (AI) to help overcome some of these challenges.

One of the main limitations of current neuroprosthetics is their inability to adapt to changes in the user’s movements or environment. For example, a prosthetic arm may be programmed to perform a specific movement, but if the user wants to perform a slightly different movement, the prosthetic may not be able to accommodate this.
