St. Louis Blues: Is Binnington Making The Calder Race Tighter?

During the regular season, the Richmond Hill, Ontario native played in 32 games and posted a record of 24-5. He recorded 5 shut-outs, a 1.89 GAA (Goals Against Average), .927 SV% (Save Percentage), 85.83 HDSv% (High Danger Save Percentage), 92.49 MDSv% (Medium Danger Save Percentage) and a 98.71 LDSv% (Low Danger Save Percentage).

During the playoffs, he posted a 2.46 GAA, .914 SV%, 80.22 HDSv%, 92.65 MDSv% and a 98.93 LDSv% over the span of 26 games played. Sure, his GAA was much higher than it was during the regular season, but that was to be expected. The remarkable thing was that he managed to record a higher MDSv% and a LDSv% in the playoffs than the regular season.
