The Seattle Kraken are now officially the 32nd franchise in the NHL. They made their final installment payment today, which confirms their inclusion for next season.

“Today is another momentous day on the journey to puck drop,” owner David Bonderman wrote. “I would like to thank Gary Bettman and the NHL for welcoming us to the league.” The message continued with a shout out to their already growing fan base. “I also want to thank my partners in our ownership group for their support and our incredible fans who have made their enthusiasm for hockey heard loud and clear.
