Rod Brind’Amour inks 3-year extension to remain with Carolina Hurricanes

Canes GM sees agreement soon (NHLI)

The Carolina Hurricanes announced a three-year contract extension Thursday for head coach Rod Brind’Amour.

Brind’Amour, 50, has led the Hurricanes to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons. The extension will keep him in Raleigh, N.C., through the 2023-24 campaign.

“Rod has been the driving force behind the culture change we’ve undergone here,” Carolina president and general manager Don Waddell said in a news release. “He keeps our players motivated, demands accountability, and has our team ready to compete every night.
