Recently, I spoke with Edmonton Oilers prospect Aapeli Räsänen.

Before, I jump into the interview, I want to provide you with some background on Räsänen.

Aapeli Räsänen

Räsänen, a native of Tampere, Finland was selected in the sixth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Oilers. He’s a 6 ft 0 in, 207 lbs centreman.

Prior to the draft, he played in the Tappara hockey program in Finland. The Tappara program is one of the best in Finland and has helped develop a lot of talented hockey players including Aleksander Barkov Jr., Patrik Laine, Jori Lehtera, Ville Nieminen and Teppo Numminen.
