Philadelphia Flyers: Finally, a Commitment to Winning

I touched upon this lack of direction by the Philadelphia Flyers in my deep dive into 2019 free agency and the trades of Jeff Carter and Mike Richards. I pointed out that the team’s wishy-washy attitude had cost them many chances to win during prime years of Richards, Claude Giroux, Carter, Jakob Voracek, and Wayne Simmonds. However, the Flyers’ April 15th hire of the extremely successful Alain Vigneault as head coach shows that management finally has the right idea, regardless of if it was seven years too late.

Who is Alain Vigneault?

To say the least, Alain Vigneault really likes to win.
