The story of the night was T.J. Oshie scoring a hat-trick for his dad. It was an emotional day for the Capitals forward who had just laid his father to rest the day before. His teammates honored his father, affectionately known as “Coach”, with helmet stickers. Oshie then went out and scored three goals to help his Caps beat the Rangers 4-2.
