The Washington Capitals are open to trades this summer. “I don’t think anybody’s off the table,” GM Brian MacLellan said today. “We’re not going to trade [Ovechkin] or [Backstrom] and those type of people, but I think you have to be open on anything. We would talk to anybody about any player.”

One of the top players on the Capitals that has been subjected to trade talk this season is Evgeny Kuznetsov. “I think we’re always open to trading people if it makes sense for what’s going on,” MacLellan commented on possibly moving him.
