It was a light Friday night across the National Hockey League landscape but the stars were shining bright on Broadway.
A day after being traded from the St. Louis Blues, forward Vladimir Tarasenko scored on his first shot as a member of the New York Rangers. The 31 year-old forward heard his name being chanted by the fans and finished the evening as the game’s first star. The Blueshirts also registered their fourth straight win by beating the Seattle Kraken 6-3.
In other action, the Toronto Maple Leafs blanked the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Chicago Blackhawks edged the Arizona Coyotes in OT.
