NHL Recaps: Rangers roar back against Oilers, Isles rally by Penguins, and more

It was comeback night for New York on Friday in the NHL. There were only five games on the schedule but both the Rangers and Islanders provided some serious sizzle.

First, the New York Islanders overcame multiple two-goal deficits to take down the Pittsburgh Penguins and move into a tie for the final wild card spot in the East.

Then the New York Rangers climbed out of a 4-1 first period deficit in Edmonton to take down the Oilers. Alexis Lafreniere notched the deciding goal in the sixth round of the shootout for the Blueshirts seventh-straight victory.
