Just hours after one of the busiest Trade Deadline’s completed, the two top teams in the Metro Division went to work. When the day was done the Carolina Hurricanes picked up a point on the New Jersey Devils, who lost in a shootout to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Meanwhile, the Seattle Kraken won their third straight game to hold off the surging Edmonton Oilers to maintain third place in the Pacific Division.

Shea Theodore scored the winner in the fourth round of the shootout and Jonathan Marchessault had two goals and an assist to lead the Vegas Golden Knights to a 4-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Friday night in Las Vegas.
