There were only five games on the schedule for Monday night across the National Hockey League but plenty of excitement for fans to enjoy.
Claude Giroux turned back the clock with a four-point game to lead the Ottawa Senators over the Detroit Red Wings. Meanwhile, the battle for Connor Bedard saw the Anaheim Ducks top the Chicago Blackhawks.
The scoring machine that is Connor McDavid hit the 50 goal mark by scoring twice, but it still wasn’t enough for the Edmonton Oilers to beat the Boston Bruins.
