McDavid injury latest dose of bad luck for Oilers

The bad luck for the Edmonton Oilers continues. The prized pick of the 2015 NHL draft, Connor McDavid, will be out long term with what sources tell ESPN is a broken collarbone after crashing into the boards Tuesday.

HE WAS ON A ROLL

On Monday, McDavid was named NHL Rookie of the Month for October after leading all first-year players with 12 points. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, McDavid's 12 points were the most by any Oilers rookie in the month of October.

McDavid's 12 points last month were even more than Wayne Gretzky scored in October of his first NHL season in 1979 (10).
