Alex Ovechkin is the greatest Russian-born NHL goal scorer in history. But is he the greatest Russian hockey player of all-time? It's an interesting debate.
We thank recently retired Sergei Gonchar who on Friday helped us break down some of the greatest hockey players of all-time from his native Russia.
However, Gonchar did not think it was proper to list them in any order.
"I don't think it's fair to rank them, they're all great players from different times, we haven't seen all these guys play. I don't think it's right to rank them," said Gonchar.
