Florida Everblades announce new NHL affiliation

The Florida Everblades hockey club is a well known one in Estero, FL. Founded in 1998 by Craig Brush, Peter Karmanos Jr., and Thomas Thewes, quickly became the face of hockey for many in Southwest Florida. Karmanos, who also owned the Carolina Hurricanes, immediately brought the hockey club into the organization as an affliate. This affiliation would stand for nearly a quarter-century.
