Edmonton Oilers: Dave Tippett Hired, Who Is Next?

This comes a few weeks after the Edmonton Oilers hired former Detroit Red Wings general manager Ken Holland to oversee hockey operations. The Oilers are making many moves as they look to have their new front office and coaching staff all lined up.

Recently, Tippett was an advisor for the Seattle Expansion team ownership group. But, prior to that, Tippett had been a head coach of the Dallas Stars and the Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes. In 1,114 games as a head coach, he has a record of 553-413-28-120.
