Drones for Urban Heat Island Monitoring and Control

As urbanization continues to increase, so does the phenomenon of urban heat islands (UHIs). UHIs occur when urban areas experience higher temperatures than surrounding rural areas due to the absorption and retention of heat by buildings, roads, and other infrastructure. This can lead to a range of negative impacts, including increased energy consumption, air pollution, and health risks. However, recent advancements in drone technology have opened up new possibilities for monitoring and controlling UHIs.

Drones, also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), are increasingly being used for a range of applications, from aerial photography to search and rescue operations.
