Who Are The Favorites To Win Super Bowl LVII?

With just months before the start of the upcoming 2022 NFL season, there will be many that will already be wondering which teams will be in line to be crowned the next Super Bowl Champions.

As we know, the Los Angeles Rams are current holders of the Vince Lombardi trophy after being able to put together an experienced team in a year that they seemed to lay all of their cards on the table and go for it.

Perhaps the fact that Super Bowl LVI was played at their home venue - the SoFi Stadium - helped make that decision for the franchise, but will they be able to repeat their success in the upcoming campaign? Or, will Super Bowl LVII provide us with a new winner when it takes place on February 12, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, at the State Farm Stadium which is the home of the Arizona Cardinals?

In this article, we will take a look at the five favorites thought to have the best shot of winning the Vince Lombardi trophy and going to the premier game. We will look to try and explain why they have been made favorites and whether they have a realistic shot at achieving success on the gridiron.

Buffalo Bills
If you were to take a look around at the betting odds that have been offered regarding the outright market, then the Buffalo Bills are going to be one of the main favorites to be crowned Super Bowl Champions.

Indeed, they were rather unfortunate last season to be eliminated in the AFC Divisional Game after they were beaten in overtime by the Kansas City Chiefs by virtue of a coin toss. Of course, Patrick Mahomes managed to drive his team down the field and score a winning touchdown, but many feel the rules are outdated.

Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen can sling an American football just as good as the best, and the improvement he has undergone since his college days whilst in Buffalo has been nothing short of phenomenal. He will look to lead the AFC East franchise to Super Bowl LVII this time around, and there are many that appear to be backing him to do so.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Initially, Tom Brady was not going to be a part of the 2022 NFL season, however after a swift U-turn, he will be putting on his pads once again and looking to avenge the disappointing campaign that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had last year.

The iconic quarterback is one of the players many who participate in sport betting continue to look at as an individual to back and wager on across a variety of different markets due to his GOAT status, therefore it should come as no real surprise that the franchise is among the favorites to be Super Bowl Champions.

Of course, while Brady has shown no signs of slowing down or of age catching him up, he does already have plans away from the gridiron, so this year could be his swansong, thus giving him even more incentive to try and win the Vince Lombardi trophy and his eighth ring in the process. However, a born winner, he would never have needed another reason to be motivated in the first place.

Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs & Los Angeles Rams
Sportsbooks appear to be having trouble trying to separate the chances of the Green Bay Packers, the Kansas City Chiefs & the Los Angeles Rams in regard to winning Super Bowl LVII.

The Packers and the Chiefs both made it to their respective Conference Championship Games last season before being eliminated, and both sides have been able to further strengthen the weapons that they have available on offense for their superstar quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Mahomes, respectively.

As we highlighted, the Rams will enter the year as the reigning and defending champions and have been able to keep many of the star players that they had available on their roster last year. Of course, there have been some significant changes in LA, which is why they are perhaps not as well-liked as other organizations in regard to their chances, but there is every chance that they can pull off back-to-back victories.

Conclusion
The 2022 NFL season is one that will likely provide a number of ups and downs throughout the year, as this is something fans of the sport know all too well. When certain things appear to be going well, they can instantly be flipped on their head and the exact opposite can happen.

The Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Los Angeles Rams are considered to be the favorites, but the season is long and anything can happen on the gridiron when the ball is snapped!
