Week Nine Film Review: Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr confident, showing good mechanics in hot start

When Derek Carr came into the NFL, the biggest debate was whether or not Teddy Bridgwater’s knees were too skinny. Of the four quarterbacks assumed to be selected in the first round, Carr was the one who people felt might sneak in, but he’d be overdrafted.

Most thought he would take several years before he was ready to start regularly in the NFL and that there were too many moments on tape of him being shaky under pressure.

Unfairly, many thought of him as his brother as well.

Carr is now a poised and confident quarterback who is in the conversation — on the fringe of it, but in it nonetheless — for MVP.
