Per the Giants' official Twitter account, head coach Ben McAdoo said Cruz did not practice Friday but is progressing in his recovery.
Cruz injured his ankle during the second quarter of last week's win against the Philadelphia Eagles.
According to ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan, Cruz had an MRI to determine the extent of the injury and was diagnosed with a low-grade ankle sprain.
