When 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick came to the sidelines during his start in Buffalo, a cascade of boos, insults and invectives showered upon him from fans near the 49ers’ bench. Players say this is typical for the controversial quarterback who is now best known for protesting the national anthem.
Wide receiver Quinton Patton, who’s also a close friend of Kaepernick’s, marvels at his ability to wall out the noise and concentrate on once again, being a starting quarterback.
“A lot of negative and a lot of harsh stuff coming towards Kap on the sidelines and everybody doesn’t know that,” Patton observed.
