Can Tony Romo protect his collarbone?
After breaking the left clavicle three different times over the last five years, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback is planning on having surgery in order to have the bone plated according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.
ESPN first reported the development.
Romo told reporters last week that he was undergoing a CT scan on the injured area. Per Rapoport, the scan is to determine how hard the bone is, as you cannot place screws into and plate a soft bone. If the surgery is successful, it could go a long way toward preventing another fracture.
