Hall of Fame running back Tony Dorsett first announced in 2013 he had been diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and in an interview with the Dallas Morning News' Jon Machota, opened up more about the effects of the disease.

"I'm fighting CTE," Dorsett said. "I have good days and I have bad days. The unfortunate thing sometimes is I have more bad than good. It is what it is. I'm trying to maintain and handle it."

The 62-year-old played 12 seasons in the NFL and retired with 12,739 rushing yards, which rank ninth all time.
