Houston Texans co-founder and senior chair Janice McNair has donated $1 million to Houston's rent assistance program amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic:

The news comes after Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner announced a rent relief program for families during the pandemic, which has struck Houston particularly hard.
Per Chris Costa of KHOU, the city of Houston and Harris County combined have had 80,914 cases and 805 deaths since the pandemic's start.
