Super rematch: Seahawks vs. Patriots is the game of the week

Surprise! The NFL’s most entertaining prime-time game to date in 2016 was marred by the officials.

In the aftermath of Seattle hanging on against Buffalo, as Russell Wilson and Jimmy Graham rediscovered their second half of 2015 and peak Saints form, respectively, Tyrod Taylor played arguably his best game as a pro in the league’s most hostile environment and against its most intimidating defense. That defense, sans Michael Bennett, was pushed to the brink by a creative and expansive, yet shorthanded, Bills attack. Richard Sherman blew up unassuming kickers and wideouts alike. In spite of all that, we’re talking this week about part-time officials missing a blatant unnecessary roughness infraction by Sherman and taking three points off the board before halftime.
