Sports Briefing | Pro Football: Jets Sideline Injured Dee Milliner

The Jets placed cornerback Dee Milliner (wrist) on short-term injured reserve on Sunday. The move prevents him from practicing for six weeks and from playing for eight. Milliner would be eligible to return for the Nov. 8 game against Jacksonville.

The team also continued to tinker with its roster, claiming safety Ronald Martin off waivers and re-signing receiver Chris Owusu, whom they released on Saturday. Owusu will also return kicks.

Martin, who went undrafted in May out of Louisiana State, was released Saturday by Seattle. To make room for Martin on the roster, the Jets waived safety Rontez Miles.
