Sources: Rams, Chargers agree to stadium plan

The Rams and Chargers have agreed in principle to a plan in which both NFL teams will share a yet-to-be built stadium in Los Angeles, according to ESPN sources and the San Diego Union-Tribune, which first reported the story Friday.

The Chargers have until Jan. 15, 2017, to decide if they want to exercise their option and partner with the Rams in owner Stan Kroenke's Inglewood stadium project, which was approved by NFL owners earlier this month.

The sides had been meeting since that approval was granted.

Information from ESPN's Eric Williams was used in this report.
