Tom Brady and the Patriots have reached agreement on a two-year contract extension that ties him to New England through 2019, league sources told ESPN.

Brady had two years left on his contract, paying him $9 million for 2016 and $10 million for 2017, and now will have two more years tacked on.

Brady turns 39 in August, and the new deal gives him the chance to play until he is 42 years old, something he has expressed an interest in doing.

The deal is not yet signed and may not be for a little while, sources said.
