Football Outsiders is seeking two interns (one for each conference) to help collect player injury data for the 2018 NFL season.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience with Excel (.xlsx files) and a comfort with maintaining large databases; in particular, understand Excel filters and LOOKUP functions
- Be able to meet deadlines, which won't be strict at all, but we don't want people falling behind
- Have good knowledge of player roles (starters vs. subs vs. pure backups) and/or the research skills to determine them (Note: you will be provided with multiple research resources)
- Not be afraid to seek help or ask questions (communication is vital)
- Be available to work on the injury project from September (Week 1) through the Super Bowl (February)
These positions are unpaid, but we are happy to fill out any forms you may require us to go over for college credit, and you'll get Football Outsiders Almanac 2019 and next year's KUBIAK projections for free.
