Seahawks GM: Giants Told Drew Lock He Can Compete with Daniel Jones to Be QB1

The Seattle Seahawks had hoped to retain backup quarterback Drew Lock this offseason, but it sounds like the New York Giants gave him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Per The Athletic's Dan Duggan, Seahawks general manager John Schneider said during a radio appearance on Thursday that Lock's one-year deal with the Giants came after they "basically sold him on the opportunity to compete to be the starter" against Daniel Jones.
