The New Orleans Saints will add much-needed beef to their defensive line.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported the Saints are expected to sign Nick Fairley, per two sources informed of the situation.
The New England Patriots had interest in adding Fairley after losing Akiem Hicks, but fell out of the running on the defensive tackle, per Rapoport.
The Saints desperately need interior pass rushing. Outside of Cameron Jordan, New Orleans didn't have a defensive lineman who could sniff the quarterback last season.
