It's clear that contract talks between the New York Jets and free-agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick aren't going well. The two parties have been far apart in their negotiations and haven't done much to gain ground, per SNY's Chris Carlin.
On Thursday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Fitzpatrick said he would "rather not play football" than play for the Jets under their current contract offer (via ESPN.com).
Per the ESPN report, the Jets haven't moved from their originally proposed offer of $7 million to $8 million per season back in February.
