Report: Tony Romo's availability to play now up to coaches, not doctors

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will return to practice this week, but his availability to actually play in games will be left up to the coaching staff, reports ESPN.com's Ed Werder.

According to the report, Romo thinks he has fully recovered from a back injury. Romo has been out since suffering a compression fracture in his back during the preseason.

In Romo's absence, rookie Dak Prescott was won seven of the team's eight games.

Prescott, a fourth round pick in this year's draft, is completing 67% percent of his passes with 12 touchdowns and two interceptions this season.
