Jameis Winston is under NFL investigation for allegedly groping a female Uber driver in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2016, according to buzzfeed.com, which obtained a letter sent by NFL investigator Lisa Friel to the alleged victim on Thursday.
"The League has been informed that you may have been the victim of such a violation perpetrated by Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Jameis Winston," the letter, first obtained by buzzfeed, reads.
"The league takes allegations of this nature very seriously and has opened an investigation into this matter.”
The Uber driver, named Kate, told Buzzfeed that Winston placed his hand on her crotch while sitting in the front passenger seat of her vehicle on March 13, 2016.
