Despite public comments from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones attempting to shoot down speculation surrounding quarterback Tony Romo's future with the franchise, NFL Network reports the backup is eyeing the Denver Broncos as a possible next destination in the offseason.

Romo, who conceded his starting job to Dak Prescott this week, would likely have to renegotiate his contract in any potential trade. He's owed nearly $25 next season. The 36-year-old has three more seasons on a six-year, $108 million contract before being eligible for free agency in 2020.
