Veteran cornerback Bashaud Breeland, who had an interception in the Super Bowl, is returning to the Chiefs on a one-year deal worth up to $4.5 million, according to a source. Breeland played in every game for the Super Bowl champs last season.

Yahoo Sports' Terez Paylor coincided Demovsky's initial report.

Breeland played a prominent role in the Chiefs' Super Bowl LIV-winning 2019 campaign. The 28-year-old appeared in all 16 regular-season games, making 15 starts, and recorded two interceptions alongside eight passes defended and 48 tackles (37 solo).
