Raiders to Release Kenyan Drake

NFL Preseason Week 2 - The Las Vegas Raiders are set to release running back Kenyan Drake, according to a report from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Drake is entering the seventh year of his NFL career. Last year was Drake's first with the Raiders after signing a two-year deal during the 2021 offseason. He played 12 games and started two before suffering a broken ankle in Week 14.

As a pass-catching back, Drake was expected to get a boost in production under new Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels, who prominently featured running backs in the New England Patriots passing during his time as offensive coordinator.
