KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The injured person in the May 6 assault at a Dallas nightclub in which Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is reportedly a suspect has asked police not to file charges, according to the Dallas police.
Asked by email about the status of the investigation, Dallas police responded by saying, "The reporting party has signed an affidavit of non-prosecution. The investigation is ongoing.''
Dallas police have said that officers responded to a report of an assault at a Dallas nightclub around 2:30 a.m. on May 6. Charges have not been filed in the case.
